David M. Orbst is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and Licensed Public Accountant with more than 40 years of practical, hands-on experience in accounting, assurance, quality control, financial statement review, practice inspection readiness, and professional training.

He is the founder of Orbst Quality Assurance Specialists, where he works with CPA firms across Ontario and Canada to help them meet or exceed professional standards related to quality assurance, practice inspection, accounting, auditing, tax, and financial reporting. His clientele includes CPA firms across Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland.

In addition to his advisory and quality assurance work, David is the Owner and Instructor of The Accountants’ Masterclass: a professional training platform designed to help accountants strengthen their technical skills and confidence in assurance engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations.

Now, David is opening his decades of real-world insight to fellow CPAs through a mentorship-based membership built on practical, standards-based guidance.
